If you follow the TV game show Jeopardy, you’ll know that a computer named Watson was playing. And if you know that a computer named Watson was playing, you should know that he won. But if you don’t follow Jeopardy, read on!
I was watching Jeopardy on Wednesday night. Usually, I don’t follow Jeopardy, but I was doing this for my news site that I’m working on in tech club. Watson was playing two other human contestants, named Brad and Ken. When I tuned in, Watson was in the lead. I was able to watch it. Watson got a few wrong and he got a few right. There were lots of lead changes in that round, but Watson finished as the leader. Next up was Final Jeopardy. The question was about something that inspired “this author’s most famous novel.” All of them got it correct – “Who Is Bram Stoker?” – but Watson bet the most. So in the end, Watson won and got $1,000,000, Ken came in second and got $300,000, and Brad came in third and got $200,000.
